ARCHITECTURE - San Salvatore, Sardinia

The 6th c. church of San Salvatore was constructed over a pagan temple.The original sacred well still exists down a steep flight of steps below the nave.
The village is a famous destination for annual pilgrimages. Also a location for spaghetti westerns.
